The other day I wrote about getting a new computer. What I didn't mention was that it is a laptop. Yes! I am no longer tied down to one location. I can roam freely around the house. I can sit on the couch and surf the web. I can lie in bed and do some programming while listening to music over the Internet.
My main motivation behind getting a laptop is actually for photography. I specifically bought a photo backpack with the ability to hold a laptop. I can now be out in the field and download my photos to the computer, free up my compact flash card, and continue shooting. I can edit photos while away from home.
It's a nice feeling, this freedom.
